Yogacara simply means One whose practice is Yoga.
Yogacara came about as a means to slow down life's pace, so that we may learn how to listen. At a time where the simplicity of life and basic human needs are being challenged, when our connections with our communities, our relationships, our work, our environment, and most importantly ourselves is becoming more and more fragmented, the time has come for change that can only begin with ourselves. Located in a beautiful garden filled with coconut trees and on the oceanfront, the Yogacara philosophy epitomizes an authentic and traditional approach toward healing and revitalization of ones mind, body, and essential energies.
Embodying the ancient wisdom and philosophy of ayurveda, yoga, pranayama, meditation and other healing practices, you will learn to still your mind, release blocked energy, create harmony in your body and emotions, and develop a heightened awareness of your health and wellbeing, so that you may make the necessary changes toward a happier, healthier and more balanced way of living.
Through our life transformation mind, body, spirit workshops, you will push your limits through new ways of thinking, while you explore systems of thought and feelings that lie beyond the current constraints of mainstream thinking. You will develop a more expansive view of yourself, and learn to create the life that you want to live. Our workshops are life transformation and led by trained and certified professionals.

Yoga & Ayurveda
The Yogacara methodology of teaching Yoga is based primarily on the principles of the Iyengar school integrated with Yoga as a Life Practice. Fundamental to our practice is the mind and body connection. We recognize that the body is a self-healing entity, and we focus on stilling the mind, learning proper breathing technique, and correct alignment of the physical body so that prana, also known as qi energy and bio energy, can flow without obstruction resulting in a more vibrant and balanced state of being.
Both Yoga and Ayurveda are preventive healing sciences. Ayurveda is ,the knowledge of long life, the origin of which can be traced back to the Vedas. Like Yoga, it largely focuses on preventive care so that we may live a life filled with energy, vitality and youthfulness. Ayurveda is based on the premise that the universe is made up of five elements- air, water, fire, earth and ether. These elements are represented in humans as three doshas or energies known as Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Ayurveda stresses a balance of these three elemental energies- Vayu,Vata air and space- wind , pitta fire & water - bile , and Kapha water & earth- phlegm . When any of the doshas accumulate in the body beyond the desirable limit, the body loses its balance and disease manifests. Hence balancing these three doshas in our bodies becomes essential to our health and well being.
