On 8 Dance Company was founded in the year 2010 by Sagar Girme and Nupur Gandhekar in Bangalore. After a successful run in Bangalore, the company widened its umbrella to include theater, films and events along with dance. Today, the company is called On 8 Incorporation and functions in Pune from a lavish studio on NIBM Road. 

In their initial years, On 8 has represented India at The Asian Open Salsa Championship in the Amateur Division in Hong Kong in the year 2009. In addition to that, they have also performed with current Australian Salsa Classic Champions, Modus Vivendi in the September of 2012 in Sydney, Australia. Sagar and Nupur have also been trained in various styles like Salsa, Bachata, Zouk, Contemporary and Hip Hop by world renowned instructors like Jaime Jesus, Edie the Salsa Freak, Nestor Manuelin, Katrina Quintal, Little Liz, Lidia McMahon and many more. They were also among the top 30 in the popular Indian dance reality show, Dance India Dance.
