E - Gym

Had taken an annual membership in Dec 2019, major part of which was eaten up by lockdown. The gym had messaged in April 2020 saying our membership would be compensated by means of extention of the number of days the gym remains shut. On contacting the gym for a compensated extension, they now say that they would only give a part of the duration of the lockdown and that too only if I renew my membership! A very unprofessional and unethical behaviour by the gym management.

This is an extreme case of cheating and harassing. I was sold a membership on false committments. Kindly refrain from buying membership fees at egym. Their attitude changes and they start making rules once the membership is sold. The people sitting at reception talk to you as if they are doing a favour when you escalate or bring up some issue.

E-Gym suffers from "New Gym-Old Attitude$ syndrome. First the pros: 1. New Gym so brand new quipments 2. Very spacious 3. The membership amount is quite reasonable looking at the equipments Now the real picture 1. there are 4 people who sit at the reception and they don't care what's happening inside. 2. trainers don't even care about asking people to put the weights back 3. the washrooms/steamrooms have started drinking because of low maintenance. there's muck on bathroom floors 4.monsoon rains make the ceilings leak (though it is only 6 months old) The owner has spent a lot of money on infra hope he had spent some more on hiring good people that can maintain the gym. currently it has alot of members but i am not sure people like me would continue once the membership is over.
