When you think about yoga - What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Probably something that makes you more flexible and agile right? Yoga is far beyond this. It is about your mind, the body, the connections, the relationships, and far beyond these. This is exactly how yoga has helped me to give a fresh perspective in life.

Yoga has helped me to get a better and a fitter version of myself. It has helped me to achieve discipline and has helped me in achieving my goals in a structured manner. It has helped me to get fit and has helped me to lead a healthy life. Yoga has repurposed my entire idea about fitness and health.

Yoga has helped me to have physical and mental transformations by building meaningful connections between the mind and the body. It has not only helped me in staying fit but has helped in improving and enhancing my wellness by reducing stress, anxiety, weight management, and much more.

Yoga has helped me in achieving a good and healthy life. It is because of my dedicated yoga practice, I have been able to stay positive, fit, and active. It has helped me to be in a much better position both mentally and physically in the various stages of life. The studies have also shown that yoga can help you in reducing depression and mental trauma if at all you have been going through the same.

It is through yoga that I have achieved discipline in life. It has helped me to reposition and get back on track in every aspect of my life. It has helped me to overcome my fears and made me strong in following and achieving what I have and wanted to in life.

It is through yoga that I understand and value the relationships I share with people. The practice of yoga has helped me to make my relations at home, at work, or at society strong and meaningful. It has helped me to understand and create harmonious relationships with all my loved ones and with everyone living around me.

Here are 4 yoga asanas that have helped me in my life for having a healthy body and mind:

Vajra Asana

This simple yoga pose has a lot of benefits and is great for your knees, muscles, and ankle joints. This simple seated pose has helped me in having great digestion. It will be very tough in the start to sit in this position but with constant practice, you will realize how easily your body will be able to adjust to this posture. Have you ever wondered why the Japanese sit in this position and have food? Because it is good for digestion. This asana can be done at any point of the day but it's better if you perform this after you eat your meal and before you go to bed.

Padmasana

It is through this yoga asana, that it has helped me in sitting for long hours of meditation. It has made my body flexible enough and has proved to be good for my spine, leg muscles, and circulation. P.S.- This is the most preferred asanas of the yogis! This asana can be done at any point of the day and can be made a part of your fitness routine.

Downward Pose

It is through this yoga asana, that you can have a good full-body stretch. The downward pose has helped me in easing a lot of tension from my back and has helped me in making my back strong. Not only my back, but it is a great way to tone your arms, legs, and belly. This is the sole reason why it is so popular. This asana can be done at any point of the day and can be made a part of your fitness routine.

Child Pose

If you are looking for an asana that will help you in deep relaxing and rejuvenating, then you should definitely practice child pose. The child pose will just make your mind and body calm and help you recharge. This pose helps you in relaxing your legs and back. This asana can be done at any point of the day but it's better if you perform this before you go to bed to relax your mind and your body.
