Congratulations on the first step to fitness! We are so excited to have you onboard and can't wait for you to achieve your fitness goal! We are sure you are excited too and may have a lot of questions regarding what to expect? What to carry? What to eat before/ after the workout? Etc etc! Don’t worry, we got you! Here is a list of answers to (possibly) all the questions you may have regarding the what, how, when and where! And in case we have missed out on something, please feel free to get in touch with us on :

Before Workout:

  • What should I carry in my gym bag?

    • You get to the gym ready to sweat only to find out that you’ve forgotten something that’s essential to your workout. To avoid these mishaps and make it even easier to get to the workout we have made a list of workout essentials: Water bottle, Face wipes, Towel, Deodorant Shoes (Yes, most studios and gyms do not allow outside footwear, so make sure you are carrying a pair specifically for your workout), your own mat (if you are a cleanliness freak)!

  • What and when to eat before my workout?

    • Eat a light snack an hour or two hours before you go workout. Example: a fruit (apple/orange), half a sandwich, oats

  • What if I get bored during a workout?

    • With a wide variety of already existing workout playlist available online all you have to do is download it, and you are ready for your workout with some amazing motivation!

    • This is a no-brainer, but having a workout playlist is important. A great workout playlist can give you the energy and lift you

During Workout:

  • What is the first thing I should start with?

    • Stretches! Working out can be potentially dangerous if you are not properly warmed up. Start by doing some light stretching in the major muscle groups that you will be working. Ease into your cardio by not going too hard in the first five or ten minutes; let your muscles warm up and gradually increase your intensity.

  • Should I drink anything during my workout?

    • Yes, water! It is very important to keep yourself hydrated while working out to avoid feeling dizzy and uneasy. If you are doing a high-intensity workout you can substitute water for some electrolyte drink

  • How much should I push myself in the first week?

    • In the beginning, you want to start slow. Remember, the goal is to get in the habit of doing the workouts, not to do intense workouts.

  • Is it okay to ask for help?

    • Ask for support from the trainers present to help you with your workout, to check your form if you are unsure. You do not want to get into a routine of doing the exercise with the wrong form now.

  • How to not piss people off?:P

    • Make sure any and every equipment you use is left the same way you found it.

    • Clean up after you use the equipment for the next person, you don’t want people to remember you by your sweat trails!

  • Is it normal to feel a little uneasy or dizzy in the beginning?

    • It is just the first week of your workout, make sure you take it slow, and if at any given point in time you feel dizzy or uneasy STOP! It is okay to take a break. Listen to what your body is telling you.

Post Workout:

  • How to cool down post workout?

    • Stretches, again! The end of your exercise session is a good time for stretching or self-massage techniques like foam rolling. This period of training should be used for 5-10 minutes of light movement, stretching large muscle groups, and massaging problem areas.

  • What and when to eat post workout?

    • It is very important to pay attention to what you are eating not just before but after your workout too. It is ideal to eat simple carbohydrates or high-quality proteins post your workout. A few suggestions for the same: Eggs, Curd, Banana

    • We cannot emphasize this point enough! Make sure you hydrate yourself at every point! HYDRATE HYDRATE HYDRATE!

  • What should I expect?

    • Soreness! We know it sucks but even if you have done your stretches right, there is a chance you might experience soreness. It is completely normal, stretching is the solution for the same! Try not to miss your workout the next day, take it slow if required!

Have a happy workout!
